Sandeep was very passionate about cricket during his school days. On 24th November 2012, he made his first-class debut for Kerala against Goa.
He was the leading wicket-taker in the ‘Vijay Hazare Trophy’ in 2018. He was suspended for three matches after showing dissent against Kerala’s captain Sachin Baby.
In 2019 he played for Kerala in the ‘Ranji Trophy’ (2018-2019) and became the leading wicket-taker in this match.
In 2019 he took hatrick in the ‘Syed Mushtaq Ali Twenty20 Trophy.’ In 2019-2020 he was selected for the India Red Teams for the ‘Duleep Trophy’ (2019-2020).
In 2020 he has selected for the ‘Deodhar Trophy’ for India A squad match. In 2021 he moved to the Tamil Nadu team.
In January 20221 he joined India’s test squad and played in the series against England. He made his T20I debut for India on 29th July 2021 and a match against Sri Lanka.
